If you are using prescription topicals to treat acne please disconutinue use for at least 5 to 7 days prior to your scheduled peel appointment.
Peels:
Enzyme peel (all skin types, Acne)
Derived mainly from fruit or plants this peel is suitable for all skin types. A thin layer of enzyme solution is applied to the skin and then steam is used to dissolve dead skin cells and soften any impactions making extractions easier. Great for teens and adults dealing with acne.
Glycolic Acid Peel (Aging)
Derived from sugar cane this peel comes in several different strengths. This peel will remove the top layer of dead skin cells and stimulate production of Collagen and Elastin. Great for erasing those fine lines and wrinkles and diminishing age spots and acne scars. Temporarily minimizes pores for a more even texture and radiant complexion. A series of peels is recommended for best results.
Salicylic Acid Peel (Acne).
Derived from asprin this peel is great for acne and hyper-pigmentation. Ideal for unclogging pores and treating active acne. Flaking and peeling is common approximately 2 days post peel.Gentle products and a good sunscreen are recommended post peel due to the sensitivity of skin.
Amino fruit Acid Peel(all skin types, sensitive)
Derived from fruit this peel is ideal for people with sensitive rosacea prone skin typels. Exfoliates dead skin cells from the surface lightening pigmentation and promoting better moisture retention for dryer skin types.
Jessner's Peel(Aging, Acne)
A combination of salicylic, lactic and resorcinol this peel will remove dead skin cells, helping to improve acne, blackheads, hyperpigmentation, as well as improving the appearance of sun damaged and aging skin. Flaking and peeling is common approximately 2 days post peel. Gentle skincare products and a good sunscreen are recommended post peel due to sensitivity.
TCA-Trichloroacetic Acid Peel (Aging)
Performed only by Dr. Buhac. This medium level peel helps correct fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring and hyper-pigmentation. A consultation with Dr. Buhac is required pre peel as well as a follow up appointment 24 hours post peel. This peel has downtime lasting approximately 5 to 7 days a post peel kit is given to each client for use during this time
